Featured: Schooner Summerwind

The recently restored 1929 Alden schooner, Summerwind, was donated in the fall of 2009 to the United States Merchant Marine Academy Sailing Foundation. She is now used to train Midshipmen in seamanship, the art of sailing, and maintaining a high-performance classic yacht.
The program we run is sailing hard....with calloused fingertips
Frustrations onboard include figuring out all the systems
Our program would be better if if it ain't broke...
We are based out of USMMA-Kings Point NY
Our crew's favorite hangout is onboard....she is a yacht afterall
In the industry, we have a reputation for being an awesome place to stop in
